The Carried Collective is a community hub for new parents in Fairfield County, CT. Our mission is to provide an equitable start for all new parents by supplying guided resources and gear as they begin their parenting journey. We offer a maternity and baby gear lending library along with local events, pregnancy and postpartum support and education.
What is a Lending Library?
A baby gear lending library is a place where parents can check out new gear before making a final purchase.

The world of baby products can feel overwhelming, especially to new parents. Our curated lending library offers a simple way to support families in their quest to find items that work for them.
New parents often end up buying a lot of baby gear they’ll never use. We aim to make life easier by allowing them to test out (oftentimes pricey) maternity and baby items, such as belly bands, carriers and swaddles, before buying them - thus saving money and valuable research time in a sustainable way. We currently carry items for pregnancy, postpartum, newborn and infant stages.

Guided help in making the right choices for you
First access to our local in-person events where you can try out items, meet other parents in the community and get one-on-one help from a babywearing and accessory educator.
Our membership is suggested donation based. Extra payments go into a scholarship fund awarding someone else the opportunity to join and build our community outreach. We are here to help make baby items accessible for everybody.

Return Items
You may keep your item(s) for up to 7 days
Try them out, practice using them at home and see if you like them. After 7 days please bring them back to the pick up location, just like you would with a library book.
Need to keep the item a little longer? Please contact us right away!
We ask that you treat our items with care and keep them in good condition so that other community members can continue to enjoy them.
Have a baby item you wish to donate to the collective?
We are currently accepting: maternity items such as belly bands, ring slings, baby carriers and wraps, swaddles, sleep sacks, reusable cloth diaper covers and small accessory gear.
